How AI tools assist

BasisMark uses AI tools to assist with research discovery, document review, structured extraction, calculations, drafting, coding, and quality assurance. Original sources and material claims are subject to human review.

Human oversight

A human project owner makes the final decisions about sources, calculations, verdicts, corrections, wording, and publication. AI tools do not independently approve or publish BasisMark findings.

The early public foundation has undergone internal review. The unfinished flagship has not completed scoped external review, and no final public finding has been released.

Data handling

Public source materials may be processed using AI tools during research. Material claims are checked against original sources.

Contact and correction submissions are manually reviewed before any possible AI use. BasisMark does not automatically send submissions to AI tools. After human review, AI tools may assist with organizing evidence or drafting internal notes when useful, with sensitive details removed where practical. A human makes every correction and publication decision.

Initial privacy notice

BasisMark uses no analytics, advertising, newsletter, or user accounts. The contact form does not create an account or newsletter subscription. BasisMark does not intentionally set cookies, does not use contact data for advertising, and does not sell personal data.

Form submissions are voluntarily provided. Formspree receives and processes submissions, Cloudflare Turnstile processes anti-bot verification data, and Dynadot receives the resulting email notification. Submitted data may include a name, email address, message type, page or statement, original source URL, message, contact permission, and anti-abuse or technical metadata. Attachments are not accepted.

No fixed response time is promised. Deletion requests are handled manually. BasisMark’s internal retention practice does not control every vendor’s backup or retention period. Hosting, browser, and network providers may also retain request, security, and diagnostic records under their own policies.

Source verification

Search results, summaries, and AI output are discovery aids—not sources of record. Material evidence is checked against official reports, datasets, standards, or direct technical documentation. Source versions and verification dates remain visible where appropriate.

Research disclaimer

BasisMark provides research and methodological context, not legal, investment, engineering, hydrological, or site-specific advice. National estimates do not determine local impact. Unfinished research may change as source review, methodology review, or corrections develop.

Human accountability chain

  1. Treat AI output as a draft or lead, not a source of record.
  2. Verify material statements against original sources.
  3. Review calculations, boundaries, and citations with accountable humans.
  4. Escalate disagreements rather than allowing automated resolution.
  5. Require human approval for corrections and public wording.
  6. Require a separate human publication decision.
